A Message from the President
On behalf of the Houston ADS Chapter, I would like to personally welcome every one to our new and improved website.
Greatness is better measured from the painstaking efforts of those who have sacrificed greatly. With that said, it is my pleasure, as President of the Houston Chapter, to extend my deepest appreciation to all our families, community friends, and board members who have sacrificed so much of their time in order to make the first of our two year term, a great one.
Since our board took office in April of 2004, we celebrated Eid el Adha, New Years, enjoyed monthly picnics, and came together in sad times when local and national members of our community passed away; such events, some wonderful while others tragic, have shown the strength and resiliency of our community, and I pray that they have also proven to us how valuable we are to each other.
Nevertheless, this valuable, resilient, and unifying spirit expressed throughout our community this past year, is surpassed only by the hopes and dreams that lie ahead. Dreams which include expanding and strengthening our community, as well as, building of our own Druze home right here in H-town.
I would like to extend an invitation to checkout our local newsletter "Unity" that has been in print since the fall of 2000; as well as, our numerous pictures from various events.
